SASANIAN KINGS. Shahpur II, 309-379. AE Pashiz (2.58g/ 20mm). Draped bust of Shahpur II to right, wearing mural crown with korymbos; before head, symbol of the heir. Rev. Fire altar with crowned bust to left flanked by two attendants. Cf. SNS III, pl. 20, 299 (for similar issue). Very rare. Surface crack on the reverse, otherwise, fine.From the collection of Dr. D.
