Abbasid. Temp of al-Rashid (A.H.137-141/ A.D. 754-758). AR Hemidrachm (1.95g/ 23mm). Issue of Muqatil, governor of Tabaristan. Tabaristan mint, dated PYE 139 = AH 174 = AD 790. Crowned Sasanian-style bust to right, APD NWKW in outer margin / Fire altar flanked by attendants; pellets flanking flames. SICA 444ff. var. (pellets rather than star and crescent); Album 68.
