Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Pre-Imperial period, 47/6-28 BC. AR Tetradrachm (14.76g/ 25mm). Contemporary imitation of posthumous Philip I Philadelphos type. Dated year 19 of the Caesarean Era (31/0 BC). Diademed head of Philip right/ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟV; ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟVΣ ΦΙΛΑΔΕΛΦΟV, Zeus Nikephoros seated left on throne, holding sceptre; all within wreath. Controls: Monogram to inner left and below throne; ΘΙ (date) and thunderbolt in exergue. Cf. McAlee 12 (for prototype); cf. RPC I 4136. Very fine, toned.
