An oval green hardstone magical intaglio engraved with the deity Abraxas in anguipede form, shown helmeted and holding a raised whip and shield. The reverse bears a two-line Greek magical inscription reading ΑΒΡΑ / ΓΑΣ, an abbreviated form of the divine name ABRASAX (Abraxas). Executed in green hardstone. A fine Roman magical amulet dating to c. AD 2nd–4th century AD. 2.90 g, 22 mm.
