Ancient Nude Female Figurine
Description
A small standing figurine of a nude female, depicted in a modest pose with one arm across her chest and the other across her lower body. Traces of blue-green glaze remain on the surface. The figure stands on an integral base with details extending to the rear. Such figurines are often linked to fertility, protection, or domestic cult practices, and in some cases represent goddesses such as Isis-Aphrodite. Egyptian to Hellenistic period, ca. 4th century BC – 2nd century AD.
