Masonic Medal – Grande Loge Nationale Française, District of Iran, c. Mid-20th Century

A rare and historically significant Masonic medal from the Grande Loge Nationale Française (French National Grand Lodge), issued for the District of Iran. The piece is crafted in gilt metal and enamel, designed as a six-pointed star surmounted by a crown. The central medallion bears the square and compass with an open book on a red and purple enamel ground. The surrounding white enamel ring is inscribed: “Gr. Loge Nationale Française – District d’Iran.” Reverse plain. An uncommon memento of French Freemasonry’s presence in Iran prior to the 1979 Revolution.

Diameter: approx. 70 mm (including crown suspension). Extremely rare and possibly unique.
