Meet the Team

Pashiz Coins is a family business that spans two generations. It began with one collector's passion in Iran and continues today from our gallery in London.

Asad Alaf Pour

Co-Founder & Consultant

Asad is where it all began, and the Pashiz Coins name comes from him. He started collecting coins in the late 1970s and early 1980s in Ahvaz, Iran, and was among the first in the country to collect ancient coins and study Islamic coinage seriously.

His particular passion is Iranian and Islamic coins, including Islamic bronze coinage. He studied Islamic coins alongside his friend Dr. Shams Eshragh, author of Silver Coinage of the Caliphs, and today his knowledge and experience guide the business.

Kaveh Alaf Pour

Founder & Numismatist

Kaveh learned about coins from his father while still at primary school, starting with a collection of Pahlavi coins. A lifelong interest in history and archaeology led him to collect ancient coins after moving to the UK.

He began by selling coins online and, with his father's knowledge behind him, officially founded Pashiz Coins in London in 2020. He now runs the business, its gallery and its E-Auctions.

Kiana Alaf Pour

Operations & Administration

Kiana keeps the business running smoothly. She looks after administration, packing and shipping, customer relations and the day-to-day running of our auctions.

She shares the family's love of history and coins, and is studying Psychology.
